Hope you all have a safe and relaxing 4th of July weekend. Eat lots of picnic food, play with sparklers and sink your toes in the sand. We'll see you back here on Monday, until then, I'll leave you with a gorgeous sparkler send off from Long's Photography.

Vintage Milk Glass Containers
I see an assortment of milk glass containers almost every time I hit my local salvation army or goodwill, which puzzles me. Why would you ever want to get rid of these relics? I usually snatch up the most unique one for around $1.00 and move on.
My mother even had a collection of 20 matching milk glass vases from her own wedding, which were tragically sold in a garage sale about 3 years before my own wedding. Darn!
Above you see a handful of milk glass items, found on Etsy, if you can’t score any in your local area.

An updated look for the french twist
The classic French twist has had a reputation for being wildly popular with business women and the likes, tightly slicked back and pinned to perfection (think Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion circa 1997). These days ladies are taking a more relaxed approach to the French twist, and I’m all about it! Adding texture and body will eliminate that “stuffy” look and won’t leave you crying when a few pieces fall out.
Although I love Romy & Michele, I think this look suits the modern day bride better.
